The Albany - Delaware Township Fire Department is dedicated to providing on-site inspections on businesses and enforcing codes based on state and local ordinances. We have an inspector who completes random inspections of businesses. It is the goal of the Albany - Delaware Township Fire Department to keep businesses as fire safe as possible for the safety of the public. If you have a safety concern about a business that you visit, please contact our office and we will have it inspected. We also go to these businesses so that we can complete pre-planning assesments in case of an emergency. This gives our firefighters more insite on the structures that they enter which keeps them safe. If you have a question or concern about Fire Inspections or Code Enforcement, please contact our office at 765.789.6390 or contact the Fire Chief at albanyfirechief301@gmail.com.
The Town of Albany in 2020 created an ordinance for any new businesses or businesses going through construction renovations to install a Knox Box on their building. If you have questions about this program, please contact our office at 765.789.6390. The link to Knox Box is below and along with the Albany Town Ordinance.
