We are dedicated to teaching children and the community about fire safety and prevention. Every year, October is Fire Prevention Month. Members of our department go to Albany Elementary and speak to the students about fire safety in their homes. This is a good time for the kids not only to learn about fire safety, but they get to go out and see our apparatus and do what they love the most, HIT THE AIRHORN!!!!! We had set-backs with COVID-19 in 2020 but hope to keep our Fire Prevention Program going in 2021. If you are from the school, home school, a day care or wherever, we invite you to come to our station anytime the doors are open. If you would like to schedule a time in advance, call our office at 765.789.6390 or email Chief Halsema at firstname.lastname@example.org and schedule a time. We love showing off the equipment that we have to the community who supports us so much. We look forward every year to seeing everyone and help educate them on ways to be safer!
