Captain Kissick is the training Director for the Albany - Delaware Township Fire Department. Captain Kissick is responsible for planning State Certification Courses, Monthly Department Continued Education Training, Individual Firefighter Certifications, and maintains the 24-7 Fire/EMS Online Training System.
Captain Kissick is responsible for communicating training to other departments and including outside agencies so that we can train together. Training together with outside agencies helps everyone to know what each department is doing on scenes. It helps everyone to understand each department operates and allows us to share ideas of what works best while protecting our communities.
Assistant Chief Kimmerling is a certified Emergency Medical Services Primary Instructor and a certified Fire Instructor. Chief Kimmerling is responsible for providing medical continued education for our current medical personnel but he also does new certification courses for Emergency Medical Responders.
Chief Kimmerling is a certified CPR Instructor through the American Heart Association and keeps our firefighters up-to-date on their CPR Certifications. Chief Kimmerling also assists in other firefighting training including Auto Extrication and Fireground Operations.
FF Mauller is a state certified instructor and assists Captain Kissick in the departments training. FF Mauller assists in planning state certification courses and continued education courses.
FF Mauller is a newer member of the Albany - Delaware Township Fire Department and brings new ideas of training to the department. FF Mauller and Captain Kissick work well together in bringing back the basics of firefighting to our members but also helps bringing advanced trainings to our members as well. FF Mauller assists Assistant Chief Kimmerling with medical training for continued education hours as well.
Firefighter Mays is a certified fire instructor and assists in department state certification courses and continued education. FF Mays has an extensive background in the fire service after serving in many positions in the department including Fire Chief. FF Mays is very knowledgeable in Auto Extrication and is one of our lead extrication instructors. FF Mays also instructs our continued education of fire behavior for our firefighters.
